Not he-art but HEART. As in AP hearts art.
After a series of conversations with Seattle-based artists, it became clear that artists longed to show thier work in a more realistic setting. Meaning, in a home where art typically lives rather than a gallery. AP loved the idea of giving artists' work a more intimate place to be seen. So...AP removed all the art from the first floor of her home, stocked up on Hillard's beer and invited the public.
5 hours and 200 people later HE/ART proved to be part house-party, part exhibition opening.
Jen Ament (painter, printmaker), Jean-Pierre Canlis (glass artist), Jules Frazier (photographer) and Irene Wood (painter) were the evenings featured artists.
