hey! I’m April.

I’m responsible for category-defining brands, products, and campaigns that are always first: First to market and first in class. To be first in the hearts of women who make unorthodox choices for their well-being, I’ve been honest about my own.

Whether at work or home, my gut check question is: Is this the greatest good for all?

As you scroll and surf, I invite you to get to know my work through professional highlights, but my favorite ongoing projects are always at home. In a blue moon, I share more @aprilpride_

About April pride

With three exits to her credit, April Pride is a serial creative entrepreneur who has been developing brands and products for 20 years across lifestyle, cannabis, psychedelics, podcasting, and more.

April turned her visionary focus to cannabis in 2015 with the launch of Van der Pop. Quickly recognized as North America’s leading female-focused cannabis lifestyle brand, Van der Pop published 2017’s Women & Weed Survey—the industry’s first comprehensive report on North American women's thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors. In 2018, Van der Pop was acquired by Canopy Growth (NYSE: CGC).

After successfully exiting the world’s largest cannabis company, April continued to serve the women whose trust she earned as an advocate for normalization as the creator, strategist, and host of How to Do the Pot and The High Guide podcasts, including 150 audio episodes.  Most recently, April is the CEO and Founder of SetSet. This accessible psychedelic education and integration platform is a member community with medical-provider-created guides and courses.

April has spoken to tens of thousands of women throughout North America on topics including Cannabis Use and the Modern Woman, Marketing Weed To Women, Sex and Cannabis, Product and Brand Design, and Entrepreneurship.

April is a designer by training and holds a Master of Arts degree from Parsons School of Design and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural History from the University of Virginia.

April is included on the inaugural High Times Female 50 list. In 2021, the Commercial Cannabis Awards awarded her the title of “Most Creative Cannabis Entrepreneur in the US.”
