JOHNNIE Founder Raeven Duckett invited April to partner on the development and launch of her vision for an app to finally answer everyone’s first question about cannabis: “What should I buy?”

STRATEGY

Create proprietary owned brand channels for JOHNNIE to facilitate - through paid advertising - direct communication to consumers from cannabis brands that are currently restricted on digital platforms. Connect with cannabis customers who’ve been left out of the conversation by cannabis brands to-date because of their choice to consume cannabis regularly rather than for “wellness” purposes and/or they are members of minority communities not represented on dispensary shelves.

DESIGN

The visual identity of this cannabis tech brand is back to the future. Inspired by the lifestyle of urban women and Y2K fashion, JOHNNIE's design aesthetic is layered and playful.

CONTENT

The customer journey through JOHNNIE’s channels begins with a strong SEO strategy, which brings consumers in through a robust blog rooted in dispensary tours and brand profiles highlighting Black, Brown, and Women founders in cannabis.
