When I was gifted a 1979s vintage halter dress, I lived in this dress. It was the perfect wardrobe piece for my life, which was at once dressed up and dressed down. It became a dress I couldn’t live without. It was THE DRESS. After years of compliments, I decided to share THE DRESS with women also into chic and easy. And APRIL PRIDE, my eponymous fashion label, was born in 2013.

Soon after, new silhouettes were introduced, and a collaboration with Seattle designer Rachel Ravitch produced incredible python bracelets. It was through an APRIL PRIDE client that my career and my life took an epic swerve.
